Total Facility Solutions (TFS) has provided a full array of sophisticated mechanical and electrical installation services to the principle buildings at the SUNY Polytechnic Institute NanoTech Complex. This Complex ranks as the world’s top nanotechnology research center according to the leading trade publication, Small Times.

Research space at the Complex includes various laboratories and cleanrooms featuring a wide range of research and fabrication specialties including lithography, thin films, etch, planarization, metrology and 300mm wafer fabrication.

TFS’ seasoned staff was an integral part of the design and installation services on the NanoTech Complex project. Our design assist services consider cost effectiveness, speed of project completion, and focuses on improving functionality. On this project we developed value-engineering solutions related to valves, fittings, and routing of piping systems. The result was an efficient piping layout that reduced the amount of piping used creating value to our customer.

Similar to other TFS projects in the Northeast, SUNY Polytechnic Institute benefited from our location in the heart of the Northeast region. TFS used its own Class 100 cleanroom space in New York for fabrication of key components like bulk and specialty gas systems, and ultra-pure water piping for deionized water. We provide value to our customer by maintaining quality and high safety standards. We provide our own training to all staff and hired union labor to ensure they are fully aware of rigorous quality and safety procedures on our customer’s project sites and our fabrication shops.

SUNY Polytechnic Institute benefited from the consistency and quality TFS provided on the work we performed. As a result TFS was repeatedly selected by our customer for subsequent projects. We completed all projects for SUNY Polytechnic Institute within budget and on schedule.
